This is an absolutely wonderful place. Extremely friendly and attentive service, lively and casual ambience. Delicious fried fish, but salad options as well. I had the cornbread battered catfish with black eyed peas today and it was out of this world. If you're looking for eggs and hash browns, they don't have it here, but go anyway.
Craving real southern fish fry, and this is the only place I can think of in the Hudson Valley. The food is fresh, staff kind, amazing selection of tinned fish, local spirits, and live music with Tuba Skinny if you’re lucky! Brought my 6yo daughter, who was promptly offered a coloring book and crayons. She can be reserved, yet felt comfortable making personal requests directly with staff here (oh my heart)
Charming and fun, and as good as fried seafood gets — and I am from Maine :). The global tinned fish retail is next level, the whole belly clams and fried shrimp, stellar, the bok choy and cabbage salad made me feel less guilty and was also yummy, and the scallop chowder was soooo good. Service was warm and welcoming, and the owner chatted with us at the end of service. So happy to have this place in this locale!
such a pleasure to eat at Zinnia’s. immaculate modern diner vibes with the most awe-inspiring library of both tinned & gorgeously fried fishes, as well as delightful and surprising desserts (the halva & tahini sundae... omg). hosts were cordial, warm, and accommodating. 6/5 stars
Really great food, next level for diners. The curry steam fish was so scrumptious and I loved the spice level. The kids menu is also great portion and balanced with fruit and veggies but of course with fries. The fish and chips breading was really nice and crispy. Also they were so lovely and accommodating for families and have a baby changing pad. Love this place I would highly recommend.
Solid food and drinks! Seafood ceviche was delicious. I also loved the whimsical collection of canned seafood options to take home!
Fantastic place to eat. The salads were delicious and perfectly seasoned. Both the chicken and fish fried were delightful. The staff is what really also made this experience so memorable.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had I love fried seafood but the blackened skate and salad with sardines were phenomenal. I love their tinned fish wall of products and I just wish I saved room for dessert. Will certainly make a return journey from NYC ASAP.
